It's a Thom Yorke song by the way. "Black Swan". His album "The Eraser" is really interesting, it's produced by the same producer who worked on Beck's album "The Information". It's only on the rare occasion where you can link together their electronic similarities. Beck's album is more happy and random, he's a scientologist and "The Information" is basically influenced by their theories and such. Thankfully Tom Cruise is not involved. I haven't looked into it a great deal, but their are lyrics where spaceships are involved, and well, it is just brilliant. There's a cheap video for every song, they have musical instrumentation that stretches from Beck's children laughing to Gameboys beeping. Just amazing to listen to. The marionettes are also a nice touch in the live performances.

I guess it is stupid that I wrote down Thom Yorke lyrics instead, because it is depressing, but my sunny side has up and died, thought I had got hold of it again but, well I still do, it's just complicated. Or maybe it isn't. Carly once told me; "You are such a happy person." and only yesterday Gareth said "It's pretty cool how you just smile when you are bored." I don't know, obviously there is a lot more...being at home, makes you reconsider things, and I guess this journal title really sums up what I've done over the past 3 months. In a sense I feel like I've drifted away, yet I have been close to someone, but drifted away again. I try to keep my head up but not in the most positive of ways. Anxiety still rules my life, that's all I have to say about it right now.

Anyway, here are some things I have learnt, thought about, or have done in the past 24 hours;

- On average, a man will masturbate 2000 times before he loses his Virginity. Not that I have done that in the last 24 hours, I'd be dead!

- John Prescott, spent £600 of public money on a new office plague on his door, and a further £700 on business cards. This was on BBC National News. No actual comment but literally a 10 second report. I don't actually care that much, but what is more weird, is that John is 68 years old, or more.

- I woke up with hair like Russel Brand this morning. Bed hair was always enjoyable.

-This is quite a good joke; "U2 were playing at a Make Poverty History concert. Inbetween songs, Bono stepped up to the microphone and called for silence. He began to clap his hands. He then spoke to the audience; "Every time I clap, an African dies". A man in the audience broke the silence; "Well stop clapping then!"

-Christmas shopping ruins Christmas. There are old people, everywhere, and Marks & Spencers are full of them. I saw a queue of old people waiting for a free sample
of champagne because they are probably alcoholics in secret, there were mum's with push chairs not stopping for anyone, and also angry Mums. To be honest if they demolished every mall in the land, with all of these people in them, this country would be a lot less miserable. Infact, the only happy sight I saw, was 2 men in their mobility scooters side by side racing each other down the street. That is hapiness.

-If Bolshevism returned to Russia, I guess learning about Russian History for the past 3 years, I'd actually find it really quite exciting. Russian History is often called "sexy history" amongst my lectures, past teachers and such.

-Xmas songs don't get much better, possibly because the years get quicker and you get older you hear them for the 1000th time, and new Xmas songs don't have the same brilliance. Band Aid is the biggest culprit; " Do they know it's Christmas time at all?" Why don't you do us all a favour, and go over there and ask them? I find that the music industry cashes in on what used to be a religious occasion, but I supose what comes around, goes around. If you consider than a lot of festivities were originally pagan etc. Although back then I doubt there were entertainment acts trying to sell records, apart from Cliff Richards perhaps.

I just find it a bit samey how you will have, an X Factor song out for Xmas, (they've ruined the letter X!) a Cliff Richard album, and a bunch of greatest hits albums that, are un-needed. The main offender? U2. Only last month they had a charity single out and now a greatest hits, which will sell more copies, and they only had a greatest hits album before "How to dismantle an Atomic Bomb". Which is a stupid album name...should have called it "How to dismantle Bono".

Bye x

Oh and I watched a Miyazaki move last night; Spirited Away. It was a beautiful animation film, the story was compelling, the music score was incredible, totally mind blowing, the characters were both dark, colourful, so detailed. Just so nice to watch a movie that takes you far away and expands your mind. Seriously I have not been that enthralled since Donnie Darko. Just look back and I want to watch it again, it's like a Children's nightmare turned into an epic fantasy story. It's so weird and wonderful...and considered one of of the best animation films of all time, so go watch it.

Sad to hear  Joe Barbera died, Scooby Doo was my least fave cartoon in the whole world mind. But Tom & Jerry is brilliant.

Blah I've now lost all respect for Beck - I hate all Scientologists.

Who exactly collects these masturbation statistics? :-P.... (possibly Scientologists).... 2000 times, thats a lot of spunk.

I'm not looking forward to Christmas shopping, I'll probably do it tomorrow. Or I could just go to Boots in Oadby and buy everyone a Boots gift certificate and save myself the hassle, yet be stingey.

In terms of Christmas songs, I can never get tired of the Pogues Christmas song. It's actually one of the few Christmas songs that are actually genuinly good songs anyway.

This should cheer you up, unless you have already seen it

This to make you more Christmasy (look out for Matt Dillon).

Hope you have a good Christmas if you're not on again before then, and get nice and drunk on Christmas Eve. You for some reason watching Clueless on Christmas Eve always makes me feel better because it reminds me of my Sixth Form days.

Have fun. Happy Christmas and a merry New Year or whatever. Sex clothes popularity, whatever, LoL :-P.
